  8. Heh, for all the friendly conversations I’ve had with cute strangers, I have yet to have one manifest in a date! :P

  11. I’m just suggesting that when a woman finds herself in that situation, she is probably getting a lot more looks than she knows and should ask herself what kind of standoffish signals she is sending. Not suggesting she’s a bitch, just that something in her behavior is being interpreted as not being interested.

  13. Definitely, I agree with you there. I think girls should also be aware of the company they keep. Don’t spend your time with attention vampires!!

  19. From what I’ve seen, guys’ taste seems to mature as they get older. The vast majority of teenage guys will worship the girl who looks like a stripper but (thankfully!) as they get into their 20s, they’ll start paying more attention to the pretty girls who had previously slipped under the radar. And once a guy hits 30, if he’s still paying attention to the stripper friend then he isn’t worth having anyways.

  27. I’ll give the teenage guys a free pass because of hormones and all that, but IMO the men in the ‘sphere who obsess non-stop about what the sluts are up to definitely qualify as “carousel watchers”.

  31. This is actually a good point. I mentioned that this used to happen to me when I went out all made up and ‘expecting’ getting flirted on ZERO guys approached while if I was out with friends or reading a book in a coffee shop I got more attention but being unprepared I was horrible at keeping the banter going to a point he would ask my phone number. My body language was killing me and I never knew why. So yeah some effort from both parts is important shy guys should try to ignore the slutty active ones and shy girls should work in looking more approachable.
